DOC J Set To Join In The Fight Against Cancer

Dr. Lewis Jassey, aka DOC J, is at it again! The pediatrician/rapper will be performing on Sunday, October 16th, 2011, at the American Cancer Society Walk in Central Park, New York City, to join in the fight against cancer. Doc J has had family members and pediatric patients of his affected by cancer, which inspired him to write and record his song “Believe”. Jassey has partnered up with the American Cancer Society, selling this song online, with proceeds going towards cancer research. Doc J will be joined on stage with MC’s Livingudlano & Marcus Stifler, R&B singer Samantha Alexandra, & 2011 American Idol contestant Alessandra Guercio. Doc J To Help The People Of Japan

The Doc is at it again, reaching out and trying to make a difference in the world through his music. The recent natural disaster in Japan moved Doc J, inspiring him to write a song to help the people affected by this catastrophe. The lyrics behind “We’ll Rise Up” were written and recorded by Doc J, featuring Alessandra Guercio from this past season’s American Idol show on the chorus, with musical contributions by Garth Mitchell and Jeff Fisher. Up and coming film director Kyle Williams teamed up with Doc J to capture touching images from Japan, as a back drop to his powerful message. The video for the song is now on You Tube, and the track is available for purchase on iTunes with proceeds going towards Japan relief efforts. Doc J Performing at Jones Beach [Sunday, Oct 3rd]

Pediatrician/rapper Dr.Lewis Jassey, aka DOC J, will be on hand at Jones Beach this Sunday to join the 30,000+ that will be there to support the fight against Autism. This “Autism Speaks” Walk is the largest one in the country, and DOC J will be returning there once again this year. DOC J will be taking center stage at 12:30 PM. The pediatrician, who’s had a lot of success in treating kids with Autism, wrote and recorded a song about a little boy in his practice that he’s successfully treated, with Autism. The rock band Creed, joined DOC J by contributing music to the song as well. This song , called “Jimmy”, can be purchased at www.docjmusic.com, with 100% of the proceeds going towards Autism research. Physician/Rapper DOC J is set to join in the fight against the disease that took his father’s life back in 1996. He will be taking the stage at the NY State ALS Chapter’s largest walk of the year this upcoming Sunday at Eisenhower Park, in East Meadow, NY, in front of an anticipated crowd of over 5000. DOC J will be taking the stage at 11:45AM. Come down and support a real important cause, and check out some real hot music from the Doc! Up next for the doctor/rapper is performing a concert for “Camp Adventure”. This is a camp set up for children diagnosed with/who have survived cancer. It’s sponsored by the American Cancer Society. The concert will take place on 8/17 at 6:30PM in Shelter Island, NY. Doc J will be performing 7 songs, including a song he wrote to raise money for Cancer research, called “Believe”.

Hoops for Haiti

From 10am – 12:30pm parents and kids are welcome to come up to our gym and participate in basketball skills, drills and contests with basketball coaches and former college players. DOC J’s father passed away from ALS back in 1996, so this cause is very dear to him. “Hey Dad” was written and recorded by DOC J as a tribute to his dad. 100 % of the proceeds of sales from “Hey Dad” will be donated to ALS research.

DOC J has joined forces with the “Autism Speaks” organization as well, actively involved in the fight against Autism.
